# Link Button

Edit Starlight link buttons, destinations, variants, and icons in MDX documentation.

import ContentEditor from '@/components/editor/ContentEditor.astro';

Use Prosefly’s MDX component editor to edit Starlight link buttons while keeping their MDX destinations and supported properties.

## Supported profiles

The same editor supports the [Astro](/frameworks/astro/), [Starlight](/frameworks/starlight/), [Fumadocs](/frameworks/fumadocs/), and [Prosefly](/frameworks/lotus/) profiles. Select the profile that matches your site to see the component syntax and controls available for that integration.

## Edit in Visual

Select the button to open its controls. Edit the label in the component, then use the attributes panel to change the destination, variant, or supported icon placement. The icon picker changes the icon; editing the link does not navigate away from the document.

<ContentEditor content="link-button" />

## Source example

```mdx
import { LinkButton } from '@astrojs/starlight/components';
## Continue to the guide
<LinkButton
  href="/docs/getting-started/"
  variant="primary"
  icon="right-arrow"
  iconPlacement="end"
>
  Get started
</LinkButton>
```

## Support

Link Button is a dedicated feature of the Starlight profile. Supported variants include `primary`, `secondary`, and `minimal`. Prosefly and Fumadocs profiles do not provide this same component editor.

Use an ordinary Markdown link when a button is unnecessary. Custom button components can still be edited in Source. Verify the destination and appearance in the website preview before publishing.
