Give each project a clear story.

Prepare the context, process, and outcome alongside the images. Keep a short project summary and a longer case study as your website’s content structure allows.

Write project stories

Use Markdown and supported MDX components to explain the brief, your role, the process, and the result. Open Source for custom syntax, keeping the existing file format and path.

Maintain project properties

Edit supported fields such as the project title, year, category, role, and external links. Keep structured project lists in supported JSON or YAML Collections and edit them with the Resource Editor.

Prepare images and video

Choose ready files from the media library or retain existing repository image references and external media links. Update supported captions, alt text, and media properties alongside the content.

Choose what visitors see first

Update a supported ordering field or reorder items in a structured project list. Your website’s own sorting rules determine how those fields or list changes appear.

Prepare the details behind the finished work.

Use the structure that fits your practice. A project page can include these parts without changing the way your website is built.

Context and role
Explain the brief, who the work was for, and what you were responsible for.
Process and choices
Show the development of the work with images, descriptions, and useful links.
Outcome and credits
Describe the result and credit collaborators. Add a live project link where appropriate.

Keep structured project lists easy to maintain.

For sites that store projects in JSON or YAML, edit supported objects and arrays in the Resource Editor. Update project details, media, and list order without rewriting the whole file by hand.

  1. 01

Connect the portfolio you already have

Scan the website repository and confirm the document or data Collections used for your projects, with their supported editable fields.

  2. 02

    Prepare a project update

Write the case study, update project details, and choose images or video. Adjust the supported ordering field or project list if needed. Save the unpublished changes as a draft.

  3. 03

    Review and publish the files

Check the changed content and data files, then create a commit or pull request. Your portfolio’s existing build process renders the update.

How this works in practice

Editable fields and media controls depend on your Collection configuration and supported file structure. Custom components may need Source editing. Layout, project filtering, and display order remain controlled by your website. Uploaded media is hosted separately from Git content.

Different content. The same ownership.

Your published Markdown, MDX, and data files remain in your repository. Drafts are saved in Prosefly until you publish. Media uploaded to the library is hosted separately and referenced by URL.
