# Your first guide

A place for the things your team learns.
An illustrative file layout, not a live workspace.

Your files. A shared place to write.

Bring in your docs Collection

Recognize supported Lotus docsLoader and docsSchema configuration. Work with title, description, order, and other supported page properties.

Arrange native documentation navigation

Confirm the detected docsNav binding, then add pages to existing writable groups and reorder supported manual items.

Keep the theme and editor in their roles

Prosefly helps your team edit and publish repository content. Lotus renders the documentation through your existing Astro build.

From your repository to your workspace.

  1. 01

    Connect the Lotus website

Authorize GitHub and scan the repository that contains the Lotus integration and content Collection.

  2. 02

    Confirm content and docsNav

Review the detected docs Collection, fields, and navigation binding before creating the workspace.

  3. 03

Write and review the affected files

Edit a guide, choose its navigation placement, and publish the reviewed content and configuration changes.

What to know before you connect

Native navigation requires the matching Lotus integration, docsLoader, and supported static docsNav configuration. An absent or empty docsNav does not imply automatic navigation. Existing writable groups are supported; new section creation and dynamic configuration are outside this scope. Complex MDX and frontmatter remain available in Source.

Published content stays in your Git repository.

Drafts stay in Prosefly until you publish. Review your changes, then create a commit or pull request. Your existing website build handles deployment.
